It's a term that's been coined to describe the way travelers plan to get back out into the world once they feel safe enough to travel again. Travelers tell advisors and pollsters that they plan to travel farther, longer, and even more expensively than they ever have before. How do you feel about the idea of "revenge travel" and do you see yourself traveling further and for longer in the future?
To many, travel is a very personal experience. Whether you count the countries you've been to like a badge of honor or prefer to keep your memories close to your own heart, there's no doubt that 2020 was hard on all of us. Your wanderlust is probably greater than ever and now that COVID-19 vaccines are being rolled out, you might be seriously considering planning a trip for 2021. With the right precautions, the right expectations, and the right destination, I have no doubt that 2021 can be the year that we all travel again.
Maybe you are dreaming (like me) of a trip to Patagonia with your family or a wine tour through Italy and France. What about a safari in Kenya or a truly far-out experience of meeting lemurs in Madagascar? Parents, you might be eyeing secluded time together with your partner to a bucket list destination like the Maldives or the Seychelles. Wow, those trips sound amazing, don't they?
If you didn't know already, you can plan trips for many many months in advance. If you're not quite confident enough that 2021 is the year you witness the Great Migration or take that Arctic expedition, that's okay. I can help you plan that trip for 2022 or even 2023. When you're ready, I'll be here to help.
Keep dreaming, travelers. It's almost time.
